Concept: The cylindrical steel structure is inspired by a sand pagoda inside of Wat Duang Dee Temple where the sculpture is installed. This sand pagoda is a part of Lanna tradition of carrying sand into the temple during the Songkran Festival in Thailand. The sculpture is painted in gold in order to integrated with other structures in Wat Duang Dee Temple such as the golden many-tiered state umbrella or the golden roof carving. The sculpture is installed in a slanting direction like a pagoda being tilted to drain out the sand. It is suspended at a small alley in front of Wat Duang Dee Temple with LED lighting during the night, creating a new thought-provaking experience to the area.
แนวคิด ผลงานได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากเจดีย์ทราย ที่ตั้งอยู่ภายในวัดดวงดี โดยปรับเปลี่ยนวัสดุใน การทำโครงสร้างเจดีย์ทราย จาก ไม้ไผ่เป็นเหล็ก ใช้การสานเส้นของโครงเหล็ก แทนลวดลายที่เกิดจากการจักสานไม้ไผ่บนเจดีย์ทราย ผลงานมีสีทองเพื่อเชื่อมโยง ประติมากรรมกับสิ่งปลูกสร้างภายในวัดดวงดี เช่น ยอดฉัตรสีทองของเจดีย์ ลวดลายสลักปิดทองบนหลังคาโบสถ์ ฯลฯ ประติมากรรม ติดตั้งในลักษณะห้อยเอียง คล้ายกับเจดีย์ที่ถูกจับตะแคง เพื่อรินหรือเททรายลงมา ในช่วงเวลากลางคืน ผลงานจะเรืองแสงด้วยไฟ LED สีขาว ผลงานชิ้นนี้เป็นการนำเสนอมุมมองใหม่ของเจดีย์ทราย ซึ่งเป็นประเพณีในวัฒนธรรมล้านนา และสร้างประสบการณ์ใหม่ให้กับ ผู้ชมและพื้นที่ที่จัดแสดง
