Exhale - Inhale, 2006, enamel and acrylic paint on utility vent, 204.5 x 254 cm.
พ่น - สูด, ๒๕๔๙ สีน้ำพลาสติกและสีอคิลิคบนตระแกรงของเครื่องฟอกอากาศ, ขนาด ๒๐๔.๕ x ๒๕๔ ซม.
Concept: The fixed-blade of utility vent is painted with blue and green enamel paint.
The title of the works refers to the vent’s function, allow air movement. The vent is painted to be look like a minimalist painting, but some local viewers see it as the symbol of Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the issue of boundary as the paints on the vent cover resemble the color of the two contries flags (blue and white - green and white). The work is mostly missed by viewers. However, when the piece is discovered, the mixing between delight and surprise could be viewed on the viewer’s facial expression.
